Former Apple director rejoins Intel to make 'groundbreaking' chips
Former Apple managing director Jeff Wilcox has returned to Intel to work on SoCs. Wilcox has already begun his role as an Intel Fellow at the Blueprint Engineering Group roofing client SoC compages. He announced his new role on LinkedIn two weeks afterward announcing his departure from Apple.
Wilcox has over 25 years in the industry, including an 8-year stint at Apple in which he oversaw the transition to the company's ain Silicon. Apple'southward M1 chips have made waves in the computer industry due to their loftier operation and efficiency. The move marks a return to Intel for Wilcox, who worked at the company as a chief engineer from October 2022-November 2022. He also previously worked at NVIDIA as a principal architect and Magnum as a principal engineer.
